What to Expect/FAQ
If this is your first time hiring Kat Walks Dog, here is a quick guide on what to expect.

The Meet and Greet
This is the first step in the pet sitting process. We will arrange a convenient time for you and your pet to meet with us so we can get to know each other better. During this session, we can discuss you and your companions needs and answer any questions you may have. The meeting spot is up to you but the ideal location would be where our walks/social/playtime will be happening not only so we can interact with your pet in comfortable territory but so you yourself can see how your pet interacts with your potential sitter and the surrounding environment.

Scheduling Walks/Social/Sitting Times
Meet and Greet has been successfully completed and you would like to schedule your first walk or sitting session. During this time, we will exchange phone numbers for ease of contact and you will be asked if your pet will be needing any medications, snacks or meals and what they and or you would prefer for them to be doing while your sitter is present. Home entering and exiting procedures will also be discussed at this time.

Absolutely! We have training in giving oral, topical as well as injectable medications.

Not at all! We kindly ask that any cancellations be made with a 24 hour notice.

Hospice services are absolutely offered. We can discuss in depth and detail what is needed for your companion to keep them comfortable and content.

What will you do if my pet has an emergency or injury during the sitting session?
You will be notified immediately and depending on the situation, your sitter will either bring your pet to the Vet/Emergency Animal Hospital for evaluation or, directly to you so you can make the proper assessment This is also another reason why it is a good idea to have Veterinary and Hospital information ready to go. It is information that is good to have handy and hopefully, will never have to be used.
